Showered with Love

April showers bring May flowers, but our April showers brought us more showers!

Moms Shower (hosted by my mom and sisters):

Parenting advice cards. Stay tuned for a blog entry featuring words of wisdom from all the moms and dads in our lives! The cake by Marsha Lynch was outstanding!

Family Shower:

Justin's cousins, Drew and Michele in Charlotte organized a SURPRISE shower with all the family that was in for a First Communion celebration. The best part was watching Justin open gifts!

School Shower (Kennedy Montessori):

The generosity of my daytime family...AND the cake, designed by Lauren Edwards, shaped like a "onesie."

Girlfriend Shower (hosted by Lainey and Mary):

The company, of course! Nothing compares to sharing this experience with my girlfriends. The menu was delectable, especially the Tittles Cake Dots by Katie Nord.

We are overwhelmed by the love, time, planning, and thoughtfulness that each host and guest devoted to make this time such a special time in our lives.

Goldilocks and the Three (or more) Chairs

Too hard.

Too soft.

Just right.

After much deliberating, we ordered the last piece of nursery furniture. I might host a party for everyone to come over and experience the luxuriousness that is the Newco Serenity Ottoman and Glider.

There are no pics online, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

And even better, I found a throw pillow to match the crib set.

My life as a teacher is an ongoing installment of Kids Say the Darndest Things. Some days, one of them will say or write something so special and profound that I am moved to tears. Last Friday was one of those days.

"Mrs. Haydock, you have two hearts now - yours and your baby's." (4th grader)
