toes in the water, diaper in the sand...

We just returned from a week at Ocean Isle Beach with the Snoke Family: Drew, Michele, Lexi, and Juli. It had been 3 years since our last trip to OIB, NC. Bringing Hamilton along this time made the experience all the more fun and special!

Next stop: Ocean Isle Beach!

Wake me up when we get there!

Thanks to Mimi and YaYa, we were able to pass the time
in the car with multiple viewings of Classical Baby!

Ready for our first day at the beach!

First dip in the ocean!

After taking his first steps on June 22,
Hamilton got lots of practice walking on the beach.

Happy Birthday, America!

Patriotic rubber ducky from Lexi.

Hamilton spent most of the week in a towel and/or swimsuit.

Baby beachwear.

One of many wagon rides to the beach.

It was all fun and games until
Hamilton was no longer the only cargo on board.

Get me out of here!

Sporting a Volunteer Tradition hat (by our friend, Mason Jones).

Hamilton had to wear Daddy's hat
when we forgot the baby beach hat at the beach house.

My name is Hamilton. I am a Leo. I enjoy long walks on the beach.

Hamilton does not know how to play Bocce Ball,
but he loved playing with the game balls.

Naps on the beach. Such a rough life!

Hamilton said, "Oooooh!," every time the waves rolled in.

All smiles at the beach!

Soaking up the last minutes of our final day at the beach.

Hamilton reflecting on his first beach experience.

Zero Tasking...
sometimes nothing is the right thing to do.

Doing nothing for an entire week
reminded us of the one thing we need to
remember and be grateful for every day:

 ...it truly is.
